Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how the Golden Kundli SYSTEM uses cookies and similar browser technologies. By using this SYSTEM, you accept these technologies as described below.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. The Golden Kundli SYSTEM also uses related technologies such as browser local storage and session storage. These are referred to collectively as "cookies" in this policy.
Essential cookies and session cookies
We use essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the SYSTEM to function. These include:
- Session cookie: Keeps you signed in while you use the SYSTEM. Without this, you would be logged out on every page.
- Authentication cookie: Stores your encrypted session identity. This is set when you log in and cleared when you log out or close your browser session.
- Security tokens: Short-lived tokens used to protect form submissions and authenticated requests.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled through this SYSTEM because the SYSTEM cannot function without them. You may clear them through your browser settings, but doing so will log you out.
Admin session
Administrator accounts use the same session cookie mechanism described above. No separate admin cookie is set. Admin access is controlled by role verification on the server for each request.
Push notification subscription storage
If you choose to enable push notifications, the SYSTEM stores your push subscription data (a push endpoint URL and encryption keys provided by your browser) in our database linked to your account. This is not stored as a cookie on your device — it is stored on our servers. You can withdraw consent at any time by disabling push notifications in your browser settings or device settings, or from your account settings page.
Service worker and PWA installation
When you install the Golden Kundli SYSTEM as a Progressive Web App (PWA) or visit it in a browser that supports service workers, a service worker may cache certain pages and assets. This cache:
- Allows the SYSTEM to load faster on repeat visits
- Enables an offline fallback page to appear when there is no internet
- Does not cache your personal data or generated Granths
- Can be cleared from your browser's "Clear site data" setting
Payments (when enabled)
Payments are currently disabled. When payments are enabled in future, the SYSTEM will use Stripe as its payment processor. Stripe may set its own cookies on payment-related pages for fraud prevention and payment session management. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to Stripe's cookies or the data they contain.
Analytics and tracking
The Golden Kundli SYSTEM does not currently use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics). If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated before they are activated, and appropriate notice will be provided. We do not sell personal data or use advertising cookies.
Contact and support data
When you submit a contact or support form, the information you provide (name, email, message) is stored in our database and used only to respond to your request. This data is not used for marketing and is not shared with third parties except where required by law. No cookie is set by the contact form itself.
No sale of personal data
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data or cookie-derived data to any third party. Cookies used by this SYSTEM are for operational purposes only.
Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View the cookies stored for a site
- Delete some or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
- Block all third-party cookies
Blocking or deleting essential cookies will cause the SYSTEM to stop working correctly — you will be unable to log in or stay signed in. Blocking non-essential cookies (analytics, Stripe) will not affect core SYSTEM functionality.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features or technologies. Changes will be reflected by the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the SYSTEM after changes means you accept the updated policy.
